Sermons
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves.
Do what it says.
~James 1:22~
Three convictions guide my preaching. First, I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. As such, the Bible is without error in itself and is the only authority and foundation for all Christian doctrine and teaching. As you read my sermons, you will notice that they always flow from scriptures.
Secondly, I believe that the Bible is relevant to the lives of modern Christians in practical ways. Though dealing with events of the past, the Bible is God's communication to us and applies practically to our lives as Christians now.
Finally, it is not enough to listen to a good sermon or to know a passage inside and out. Scripture demands response. As you read these sermons, please respond. Consider how you should feel, what you should believe, and how you should behave as a result of the Word. Be doers of the word and not hearers only.
